our fleet

 

We operate a fleet of 13 small and medium utility helicopters and can scale efficiently to any project size. Our fleet has the capability of carrying up to 9 passengers or 3800 lbs of external cargo. All of our helicopters are equipped with cargo hooks for external load work and “bear paws” for off airport landings. All of our helicopters can be further equipped with an array of specialized mission equipment to serve a variety of customer requirements. We also operate an in-house company Cessna 206 support plane to minimize helicopter down time due to maintenance delays, parts shipping or crew change inconveniences.

 

R44 II

The Robinson R44 Raven II is a 4 seat (3 passenger), piston-engine light utility helicopter renown for its versatility and efficiency. A consistent workhorse summer or winter, the R44 has earned its place as an essential component of Alaska’s utility helicopter fleet. The R44 is capable of handling external loads up to a maximum of 800lbs. It can be further equipped with external cargo racks for carrying bulky field gear and mounts for survey or camera equipment.

MD500D

The MD500D is a 5 place (3-4 passenger), single-engine light utility helicopter. The MD500D is a wonderfully strong lifting platform despite its small size and can easily carry loads above 800lbs all the way up to a maximum lift of 1200lbs. Our MD500D can be outfitted with the following specialized equipment: shooting windows, cargo pods or racks, auxiliary fuel systems, pop-out or fixed floats, kodiak navigation systems, or external antennas for surveys or tracking.

AS350B2

The AS350B2 is one of the most cost-effective utility helicopters on the market. Fitting in below the AS350B3 for cost and capability, it provides one of the most efficient platforms for multi-role missions requiring both passenger transport and external load work. All of our Astars can be outfitted with specialized mission equipment including: shooting windows, cargo pods or baskets, pop-out floats, kodiak navigation systems, or external antennas for survey or tracking.

H125/AS350B3

We fly only the newest variant of the AS350B3 line, the H125. Debuting in 2012, the H125 is equipped with a more powerful engine, dual-channel FADEC and wider chord tail rotor. Our dual-hydraulic equipped H125s also have an increased internal gross weight of 5225lbs, giving them greater passenger-carrying capability. The H125s increased internal and external gross weights make it one of the most capable light helicopters flying today. As with the rest of the Astar family the H125 can be equipped with shooting windows, cargo baskets, pop-out floats, kodiak navigation systems, or external antennas for surveys or tracking.

BK117B2

Our fleet of BK117B2’s provide a unique solution for customers requiring twin-engine safety. Fast and smooth, the BK117B2 is the only helicopter in the fleet approved for flying up to 100kts with an external load. With its voluminous cabin and the capability to carry up to 9 passengers this helicopter can serve a variety of missions quickly and efficiently. Our BK117B2’s are uniquely equipped with high skid gear and vertical reference windows and can be further outfitted with: flexible cabin seating from 6-9 passengers, an external cargo basket, extended range fuel bladders, internal vented storage compartments, and external antennas for surveys or tracking.

Bell 205A-1++

The legendary Bell 205 is the most powerful helicopter in our fleet. As one of the most recognizable helicopters on the planet the Bell 205 provides a consistent and proven medium-lift platform. Our Bell 205 is upgraded with a T53-17 engine and 212 rotor system providing additional lifting and hauling capabilities. We also have approvals for full-time left-seat Pilot-In-Command (PIC) with an installed vertical reference window negating the need to switch pilot seats between passenger-carrying and external load operations. Our Bell 205 can be further equipped with auxiliary fuel tanks and cargo baskets.

We maintain a company support Cessna 206 giving us the capability to respond immediately to any issues that could create delays for our customers. We want to ensure that our helicopters maintain an excellent dispatch rate with any downtime minimized or eliminated.
